Bouverie Preserve

Can you just drop by to visit?

No. Our primary concern is the preservation of our invaluable resources in their natural state, therefore we offer controlled access to the sanctuary. Limiting human use helps us maintain the essential ecological balance for the benefit of wildlife habitats. This ensures for you a quality nature experience at the preserve. Reservations are on a first come first serve basis and can be made a month in advance of each respective hike. If you are interested in visiting, please download the schedule (pdf) of guided nature walks. Or contact the Administrative Coordinator at 707-938-4554 or nancy@egret.org for more information.

How much do we charge for a Guided Nature Walk?

There is no fee but donations are encouraged as they support ACR's preservation, education and research programs.

Is there food available at the preserve?

No. We recommend that visitors pack their own lunch for the trail when participating in Guided Nature Walks, and we request that they eat only during lunch breaks at locations chosen by their docent.

Do we have overnight accommodations for the visiting public?

No.

Can the facilities be rented for weddings and events?

No.

Are you still open if it rains?

Yes.

Are dogs allowed on the preserve?

Sorry, no pets are allowed on the preserve except for service animals, i.e., any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability.

There is no smoking on the preserve!
