Bouverie Preserve
Public Access:
Guided Nature Walks are offered to the public one or two Saturdays a month except during the summer. Visitors of all ages can participate in docent-led walks to explore the natural history of the Preserve. In small groups, hikers explore one of many trails through mixed evergreen forest, flower-carpeted oak woodland, and rugged chaparral. Reservations are on a first come first serve basis and can be made a month in advance of each respective hike. Contact the Administrative Coordinator at 707-938-4554 or nancy@egret.org for more information.
Access for People with Disabilities:
At Bouverie Preserve, an accessible path leads from the parking lot through an oak woodland to a viewing area with benches, which is good for bird watching, is near a seasonal stream, and overlooks a meadow covered with wildflowers in the spring. There is also access for people with disabilities to the Gilman Hall Education Center, and to an outdoor, oak-shaded deck near the parking area, which we call "The Treehouse".
