Come view the nesting herons and egrets and hike the more than eight miles of trails. On weekdays (except Mondays) the Preserve is open to the public by appointment. Bolinas Lagoon Preserve (Stinson Beach, CA) If interested in becoming a volunteer docent at Audubon Canyon Ranch's Bolinas Lagoon Preserve (BLP), please attend an informational meeting at BLP's Picher Canyon. Beginning in September, docents will receive training from leading Bay Area naturalists in local history, plant life, and birds of Bolinas Lagoon. Once training is completed, docents will visit Bay Area schools and lead hikes around the Bolinas Lagoon Preserve. Those interested in registering for the docent program or needing directions to Picher Canyon please call 415/868-9244. |
