Promoting a conservation ethic in people of all ages is central to our mission of Conservation in Action. Please join us on the preserves to explore seasonal changes, take part in naturalist training or dig in with other volunteers to assist our land management team. Reservations are required for most events in order to ensure that human impact is kept in balance with land and habitat preservation goals.

Spiders: Tales from a Recovered Arachnophobe

Audubon Canyon Ranch Event Calendar

Spiders: Tales from a Recovered Arachnophobe

Mar 14 2018 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Napa Library, Main Branch

What if YOU could hear with your ankles, squeeze seven kinds of silk from millions of tiny spigots in your abdomen, shed your skin to get smaller? What if you had to carry a hundred or so of your kids around on your back after they were born, or if you could release a balloon from your hind end and sail 30,000 feet above the earth!? Join recovered arachnophobe, Gwen Heistand, Director of Education for Audubon Canyon Ranch, for an adventure into the fascinating world of spiders.

When: Wednesday, March 14 at 7:00pm

Where: Napa Main Library (580 Coombs St, Community Room)

Cost: Free; please note - voluntary donations will be requested. All donations go towards costs associated with WILD NAPA.
