- Martin Griffin Preserve
Due to the current situation related to COVID-19, this docent training may be adjusted, postponed, or canceled. Any individuals who sign up or show interest will be notified of any changes to the structure or dates of the program, including recruitment/orientation hikes. The safety and health of our volunteers and future volunteers are of the utmost importance to ACR.
An ACR docent is someone with an abiding love of nature and a desire to share that appreciation & enthusiasm with children aged 9-11. Over the course of 21 Wednesdays beginning in September, docents receive exceptional coursework in the natural history of Northern California’s diverse ecosystems as well as training in the dynamics of working with children in these natural settings.
Join us for an orientation program beginning with a brief overview of the training program and ending with an hour-long hike on the trail. Seasoned Martin Griffin Preserve docents will lead the hikes and be available to answer questions.
Training begins in September 2020.
