July 2, 2017 - 9:00am to 1:00pm
  • Modini Mayacamas Preserves

Spend the morning learning about some of the wildlife that inhabits the Preserves with Ginny Fifield, Wildlilfe Camera Specialist, ACR Mountain Lion Project Team, and Modini Mayacamas Preserves Volunteer. We’ll learn about identifying field signs of mountain lions, bobcat, coyotes and more. Based on what we find, we'll guess what we might see on two wildlife cameras, then we'll check to see if the field signs match the pictures! Total hike is about 3 miles.

The Modini Mayacamas Preserves This private nature sanctuary, owned and managed by Audubon Canyon Ranch, has a range of different public access opportunities. Pine Flat Road, a public county road with pullouts, meanders through the preserve, allowing visitors to enjoy the views and birdwatching from roadside pullouts anytime without appointment. Please drive very cautiously, this is a one lane winding road with very limited sight lines.
