Join ecologist, photographer, and ACR Education Specialist Dave Self, for an expedition to observe fall foliage along Pine Flat Road, which often shows surprising colors. The black oaks turn golden, the bigleaf maples often shift to a mix of bright yellow, orange and green, the ash trees shift to pale yellow, bright green and brown. We’ll enjoy the fall colors and we’ll talk about some of the adaptive and physiological reasons for these changes. Bring your camera too!
