Join Forestree Collective, Regenerative Forest Solutions, Audubon Canyon Ranch’s Fire Forward program, and Gold Ridge Resource Conservation District for this series highlighting forest management planning, ecological forest stewardship and its connection to watershed health, on-the-ground practice and tool demonstrations, prescribed burning, regional milling infrastructure, and more.
Each series date will engage participants in stewardship strategies employed at Green Valley Farm + Mill for improving the forest and watershed, a demo and information about Forestree Collective’s small-diameter milling infrastructure and Regenerative Forest Solutions’ biomass campus project and efforts for landowner engagement in this work. Staff from Audubon Canyon Ranch’s Fire Forward program will share about the prescribed burn they accomplished alongside Green Valley Farm + Mill and will share resources for those wanting to bring good fire back to the land.
Our day will be broken into two portions: Morning Lecture + Forest Walk from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm; Afternoon Mill Demo + Forest Stewardship Work from 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm.
