Education Specialist, Bouverie Preserve, Glen Ellen, CA (pdf)
Audubon Canyon Ranch (ACR) seeks an Education Specialist for our nature-based education programs. S/he is a member of the ACR education programs team and reports to the Director of Education. The Education Specialist works collaboratively in the design, planning, delivery, and evaluation of ACR education programs, especially focusing on those based at the Bouverie Preserve, including elementary school program, docent training, junior naturalist program, conservation science summer camp, public programs, and mountain lion ambassador program. S/he conducts, supports, and coordinates community outreach, volunteer recruitment, and volunteer retention for ACR’s education programs. The Education Specialist serves as leader/advisor on several volunteer committees, constructs and monitors budgets, and contributes content to publications, grant proposals and reports.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental education, or related field and have at least three years of experience in conservation and/or field-based education.
